Re-Roof with Battens & Waterproof Membrane
A full re-roof in Ettalong Beach with new battens and a waterproof membrane installed over sound roof framing.

Project overview
This Ettalong Beach roof had reached the end of its life. The owners had been patching leaks for a couple of years, which is a losing game once the roof covering itself has failed.
We stripped the old roof back, assessed the framing beneath, and rectified any timber that had suffered from water ingress before anything new went on. A waterproof membrane was then installed as a full secondary barrier, followed by new battens set out at the correct spacing for the roof covering and fixed to the specified tie-down pattern. That membrane layer is what saves a home during wind-driven rain when water is pushed back under the roof covering — at Ettalong Beach that is not a rare event.
Getting the roof re-covered promptly and weather-tight was the priority, so the job was sequenced to avoid ever leaving the house exposed overnight. The owners went from chasing leaks every storm to a roof that will not need attention for decades. Re-roofing and roof repair work is something we handle regularly across the Peninsula and the Central Coast.
