Completed weatherboard home with stone chimney and gable roof

Project overview

This Wamberal new build was a full carpentry package from frame to finish: structural framing, roof, weatherboard cladding and external detailing, all coordinated around a substantial stone chimney.

The gable roof was framed and set out so the ridge and eave lines run true from every angle — on a gabled home, any error in the roof geometry is visible from the street forever. Weatherboard cladding was installed over a ventilated cavity with correct flashings at every opening and junction, which is essential this close to the coast at Wamberal where wind-driven rain tests every detail. Cladding courses were set out to land cleanly at the window heads rather than being cut awkwardly.

Carpentry around the stone chimney needed particular care, with correct clearances and flashing where timber meets masonry. The finished home has the proportions and detailing of a classic coastal house, and every element that keeps water out was built in rather than sealed over afterwards. New home carpentry across the Central Coast is core work for our team.
